European Commission Releases New Training Videos for Accredited CBAM Verifiers

28 september 2026

DG TAXUD has published a new suite of training videos guiding accredited verifiers on registry applications, change requests, and managing collaborations with third-country installation operators.

To support the newly launched registration period for independent verification bodies, the European Commission has published a dedicated suite of training videos on the official CBAM Registry webpage.

Following the release of the formal access procedure and user manuals in late August, these visual resources are designed to help accredited verifiers navigate the Operators of Third-Country Installations (O3CI) portal efficiently.

According to the Commission, the new video materials cover three critical administrative processes for verifiers operating within the definitive regime:

"The videos provide guidance on applying to become a registered verifier, submitting requests for change, and managing collaboration requests with operators of Third Country Installations in the CBAM Registry."

By utilizing these step-by-step videos, verification bodies can ensure their accounts are correctly configured to receive, review, and validate the actual emissions data provided by non-EU manufacturers ahead of the 2027 declaration deadlines.

Verifiers and installation operators can access the video suite directly under the "Accredited verifiers" section of the CBAM Registry portal.
